13 of 14 people found the following review helpful Money Well Spent, January 5, 2010 By 21st Century Hermit (Colorado) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) This is a great case not only for the chainsaw, but lots of extras. I have a Husqvarna 455 Rancher with a 20" bar. In addition to the saw, it can easily store a combo face shield and ear muffs, plus chain file and bar wrench, roll of paper towels and more. Their are molded recesses for holding many of the tools, even a spark plug holder. The bar shield is molded such that it locks to the side with a tongue and groove and when the drop down front cover is closed, it pinches the shield firmly in place. The drop down front has a locking groove it snaps into when closed. Very clever design. I particularly like the square shape vs. the form fitted cases. It fits perfectly behind the left wheel well of my S10 long bed, with the bar next to the wheel. When I'm done cutting I'll box up the saw and place the box behind the wheel well. The loaded wood them keeps everything snug. The case is strong enough to have loaded wood on top and pressing the sides. The only minor quibble I have is with the Velcro saw retainer strap, bit of a hassle to strap and unstrap. However, I've not figured out a better way. This case not only protects your chainsaw, it also protects you from the sharp chain and dusty chainsaw. Well worth the money. Was this review helpful to you? 14 of 16 people found the following review helpful Great Box, Bad Price, February 22, 2010 By P. Brown (Duncan, OK United States) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) When I saw this item listed in Amazon, I was tempted to order it on the spot. But then I saw a separate ad on the same web page for the same item from Tractor Supply for only $44.99. Well, since there is a TS less than a mile from my house, I thought I would check them out for price and availability. The next day I drove by but they weren't open yet. When I got to where I was going, I stopped by Lowes. That is where I bought my Husky chain saw, so whhy not. Sure enough, they had the same box on the shelf for $35. Needless to say, that puppy went into my shopping cart. It is super handy, with plenty of handy niches for the tools and lubricants one needs when using a chain saw. And, its great for keeping those items from getting loose inside your pickup. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment (1)
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Keeps everything organized, June 27, 2011 This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) Lots of room not only for the saw (Husky 55 Rancher with 20" bar) but spare oil, wrench, files, spark plug, owner's manual, helmet or goggles and ear muffs. You could even fit a small 2L fuel container. Keeps everything organized and your truck or car free of oil and dust. It can also store a saw without the chain, as there is a blank piece for blocking off the opening of the scabbard. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
5 of 6 people found the following review helpful Perfcet Fit for Saw, plus room for storage, June 12, 2009 By A. J. Kennedy "Sailwin" (South West, USA) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) Fits for Husqvarna Rancher (295 I think) with a 49cc motor and 20" bar perfectly! I also have spare chains, chain sharpener, safety equipment, and 2 stoke oil in the case. Plus the square design allows for easy storing, I can stack stuff on it easy where stihls round top does not. Great buy for me!!! Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Good protection for your chain and storage for your saw, October 4, 2011 This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) I have (2) Husqvarna Rancher 55s with 18" bars, and after getting one Powerbox and storing a saw in it I immediately got another for the 2nd saw. This is a "one size fits most" type of box, so the chain cover is designed to sheath up to a 20" bar and that means there's a little play on my saws. But you slide on the sheath, the sheath fits into a notch on the side of the case to lock it in place and there's a velcro strap on the bottom of the case that goes over your saw's handle. Turn the case upside down and yes, things will fall out of place. But drop it off a truck, roll it down a hill; I think the saw will survive and that's the most important thing. There are places to hold your socket tool, sharpening files, qt of bar lube and 2 cycle oil mix. I also have an extra chain and a Husqvarna helmet in it, but to fit the helmet you have to take off the face shield and stack it on top. I wish I could fit an extra 18" bar in the case too, but the box is about 1" too short to fit the bar with the saw in the case also. Was this review helpful to you? 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful Works well, March 29, 2011 By C. Bruce (Maryland USA) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) The box works well and snaps closed nicely. There is enough room for my chaps, glasses, ear protection, tools, and a few other things. The only con I have is the cover for the bar is on size fits all. I have a 16" blade and there is a lot of extra room. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
4 of 5 people found the following review helpful A must for your chainsaw, March 7, 2011 By S. Totton "saltot" (PA) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) This case not only provides necessary protection for your chainsaw (who has $400+ to waste?) but also provides storage for chains, an extra arm and oil, etc. It is well constructed and durable. 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful Works for Stihl also, July 7, 2011 By Jetbeech "Alex" (Land of 10,000 lakes) This review is from: Husqvarna 100000107 Powerbox Carrying Case (Lawn & Patio) My 021 Stihl fits good. I wish Stihl made one. The Orange is close enough though. I found it at Lowes a week later for $39.95. Good Deal though. Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful Carrying Case Review, December 17, 2010 Appears to be a good storage case for my new chain saw. Since I don't use the saw often, I needed a case to store it safely and yet be able to grab it and other accessories quickly when needed. This seems to fit the bill. Was this review helpful to you?
