Not a standard chain! It is a special low-kickback chain, the kind with the hooked depth guides (the ones that can't be ground down after multiple sharping iterations.) This should absolutely be in the product description, this was a waste of my time. It should be noted that this is the same stock chain that comes with the Husky Rancher 455 and some others. If you are looking for that exact chain (and most people are not) than this is it. Most people have little use for these. "Rancher" or "Farm" entry type saws typically only have enough power to make kick-back a moderate concern. This same information can be read in your owners manual. What is driving this is liability. I was able to get straight on what I was looking for: Husqvarna H47-72 Chain Loop Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment (1)

The ad description says, "Ideal for professional users in demanding conditions", which is misleading, as pro's aren't going to use a safety type chain. For me it was a waste of time and money. Very sharp and high quality chain that fits Rancher 455 chainsaw, March 12, 2012 This review is from: Husqvarna 531300441 20-Inch H80-72 (72V) Saw Chain, 3/8-Inch by .050-Inch (Lawn & Patio) I'm not sure why the other reviews knock this chain for being a low kickback chain. It's in the part number after all. This chain lasts long, sharpens easy, and cuts fast with my Husqvarna 455. I will buy again. Was this review helpful to you? saw chains, January 15, 2012 This review is from: Husqvarna 531300441 20-Inch H80-72 (72V) Saw Chain, 3/8-Inch by .050-Inch (Lawn & Patio) Great value on a top of the line chain, this chain would cost at least $ 0 more if purchased in your local hardware store Was this review helpful to you? Let the red herrings be, December 31, 2011 This review is from: Husqvarna 531300441 20-Inch H80-72 (72V) Saw Chain, 3/8-Inch by .050-Inch (Lawn & Patio) Makes no sense getting excited if this is low-kickback chain; not really an issue. And ... kickbacks do NOT only happen to newbies. (Also, chain design won't help if you don't keep it on the bar.) This chain works fine as OEM chain on 455r w/20" bar, with only one caveat- it has square chisel cutters, which are very sensitive to abrasive dirt. Ability to cut can go away as though it was switched off. (You really want to be able to sharpen it in the field, or carry spare.) If you're likely to encounter any dirt in/on the wood, go for semi-chisel chain. Depth gauges certainly can be filed down- no way are they so hard that they can't be. Was this review helpful to you? 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: I needed a Safety chain, December 14, 2011 By W. Sanders (Bloomfield, CT) (VINE VOICE) This review is from: Husqvarna 531300441 20-Inch H80-72 (72V) Saw Chain, 3/8-Inch by .050-Inch (Lawn & Patio) In looking at the other reviews, it's clear that this chain is the one that comes with the Husqvarna Rancher. I'm not a professional chainsaw user and I bought this chain to have an extra one with what Husqvarna calls a "Home-Pro" chainsaw. It's for home users like myself but it's got more size and power for bigger jobs--I've got about an acre with plenty of trees. In getting used to the saw, the chain flew off twice. This was not the chain's or saw's fault--it was a user error. In making adjustments, I did't tighten the bolts correctly; so for whatever else this chain may be; it is safe. Instead of taking my head off, the chain just entangled itself in the chain guard and stopped the saw. So if you want safety in your chain, I can recommend this chain. (I have no idea what "not-safety" chains are like, and I don't want to find out.) Was this review helpful to you? YesNo Report abuse | Permalink Comment Comment
